The Teen Spot for Grades 6 to 12
The Spot is an afterschool program of the Highlands Partnership Network for middle and high school students. It operates on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 3 PM to 6 PM.
Our teens participate in various activities and initiatives designed to promote mental health and wellness, enhance academic performance, encourage regular school attendance, strengthen community relationships, and prepare students for successful careers. Through engaging workshops, mentorship, and hands-on activities, participants develop essential life skills that contribute to their overall growth and future aspirations.
The Program aligns with the mission of the Highlands Partnership Network by collaborating with community stakeholders, including nonprofits, faith-based organizations, elected officials, businesses, institutional organizations, and neighbors. Together, we aim to foster a sense of belonging and pride among students by connecting them with resources that can positively impact and transform their lives. As each child becomes stronger, the roots of our community grow deeper.
The Program provides a safe space after school at no cost to parents. It is open to youth in grades 6 to 12 from Highlands School District, private schools, charter or cyber schools, and homeschooled students.
